1. Visit the Kenya Museum Society

Drawing thousands of people yearly, Kenya Museum Society is the one of the most-visited museums in Kenya. With a rotating display of collections and exhibitions centered on East African heritage and history. Conveniently located in the city center and easily accessible, it is a non-profit organisation established in 1970 to support and promote the National Museums of Kenya. The museum is a wonderful place to be for education purposes and also fun and culture.

2. Explore the Maasai Market

There are quite a few markets in the city, the Maasai Market, is the best flea markets in Nairobi, Kenya. It is one of the easiest markets to access, as it is open several days a week, and held at different locations in the city. Whether you’re looking to pick up some gorgeous local art and craft offerings, locals and tourists have opportunities to buy some of the rich and unique collection of African arts and crafts to beautify their homes, or as gifts to friends and family. 3. See the lovely building of Jamia Mosque

4. Head to Nairobi National Park

The park features an artificial lake and several national monuments, many of these Nairobi landmarks are free to visit. Visit the park on weekend to soak up the skateboarding culture. 7. Enjoy a stroll at Nairobi Safari Walk

Climb aboard Nairobi Safari Walk’s elevated wooden boardwalk, watch wildlife, walk through uninterrupted views of nature and spotting animals, including cheetah, lion, leopard, hippo, zebra and more. This walking safari tour is an incredible discovery of what’s on offer when it comes to Kenya’s iconic Parks and Reserves. Safari-goers will appreciate the game here, including the selection of rescued wild animals.

8. Visit the Giraffe Centre

One of many nature and animal sanctuaries in Kenya, this rescue center and nature park caters to the world’s tallest species, the giraffe. The Giraffe Centre has a welcoming community feel, you’ll see the giraffes up so close, feed them and pose in photos with the animals. It should come as no surprise that is one of the most photographed places in Nairobi. Great spot for a family day out in the capital, if your kids enjoy animals. No prior booking required.

9. Visit the Uhuru Gardens

Uhuru Gardens Memorial Park in Nairobi has something for everyone! This greenery and landmark space is dominated by a striking independence commemorative monument that celebrates the nation’s independence from the British Empire in 12 December 1963. Visitors can enjoy the historical sites, and use the lovely open spaces as a great place to relax over picnic with family or friends.

10. Take a trip to Kenya Railway Museum

For an aesthetic and colorful day of learning in Nairobi, head to the Nairobi Railway Museum. The museum collection includes exhibits from the defunct East African Railways and details of the Railway history in Kenya.
