This dish consists of two meats, three cheese and an explosion of flavours from seasoning and fresh herbs. Ingredients
for 6 servings
- Minced beef 300g
- Italian/pork sausage 200g
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- Red wine 200ml (optional)
- 1 carrot, minced
- 1 large onion, minced
- 2 garlic cloves, sliced
- 1 can chopped tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 100ml Béchamel white sauce
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon beef seasoning
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 1 pack lasagna noodles
- Ricotta cheese
- Mozzarella cheese
- Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, for garnish

Method
- Making the meat you will need to heat 3 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet pan add minced beef and sausage then combine beef and Italian seasonings, oregano, salt and pepper. Stir mixture through the meat.
- Pour in 1 can chopped tomatoes, tomato pasta, chopped carrot, onion, garlic, red wine and ½ cup water allow to simmer for 50 minutes covered on medium heat. Stir sauce occasionally.
- Pre heat over to 180C, then grease a deep oven dish.
- Start by spreading 1/3 of the meat sauce at the base of the pan, then add béchamel sauce topped with a generous sprinkle of parmesan and ricotta cheese. Then add three sheets of lasagna noodles over the sauce.
- Repeat (step 4) twice ending with three layers, then top off with the remaining béchamel sauce and mozzarella cheese. Season with oregano and ground pepper. Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown. Allow lasagna to cool down for 15 minutes.
- Okay, time to serve. Slice and garnish with fresh parsley. Pair with a glass of wine.
