More than 20,000 residents and visitors descend upon the town to experience the internationally acclaimed music & arts festival. History of Bushfire Festival
Founded in 2006, the Bushfire festival is a music and arts event with a visionary approach. With focuses on developing the arts whilst promoting social responsibility. Encouraging the joy of creative expression and calling everyone to making a contribution. Engage through a programme of creative workshops, art exhibitions, discussions and guest speakers. Bushfire gathers artists from the country, as well as those from other African nations and beyond.
The festival gives back to the people of Swaziland through donations. 100% of the profits of MTN Bushfire merchandise sales go towards health, education and sustainable livelihoods for women. And a portion of every unique Bushfire ticket sold going directly towards providing food and clothing to over 1,000 orphans. The main beneficiary of MTN Bushfire is Young Heroes.
